Finally cherry blossom!
I have been always wanting to go to Washington DC. for cherry blossom and finally made it!
Let me try to put words to describe how crazy I was about this trip. First, I subscribed the cherry blossom watcher blog and kept my eyes on the prediction twice a week. When the time was close, I pushed so hard to book the flight tickets that someone thought I was insane. Then we got on the plane super early (6 am for god's sake), took a bus for an hour from Baltimore to DC downtown then we heard there's a gunshot around the district. It was pretty scary... I am now almost 30 and have not ever heard a gunshot (wish I never have to) but everyone seemed pretty calm about it. So I guess it's ok...(?)
Anyway, I 'm still super psyched that we made it there. It was incredibly beautiful. The whole area was like...cherry blossom ocean. They floated, dived and danced with breeze, I couldn't say anything but feeling drunk.
Of course there were more than cherry blossom. We went to museums. I think those residents are super spoiled with all these around them....JEALOUS.
Of course the Washington Monument. Good work for getting this picture!
Just a random place and it looked so unreal.
There are many many places we didn't have a chance to go. 2 days in DC is way too short. At least a week I would say.
Next stop? Traverse City!
